How each batch is checked
Goods are made to the standard they were ordered to, and the test results travel with the shipment. If your project needs a specific test or a third-party witness, say so at enquiry stage and it is written into the order.
In-house inspection and testing
Equipment available in our own laboratory and inspection room.
| Check | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Tensile test | Tensile strength, yield strength and elongation of the batch material. |
| Impact test | Charpy impact energy, where the material grade or the client calls for it. |
| Bend test | Ductility of welds and of formed fittings. |
| Hydrostatic test | Pressure tightness of finished fittings and pipe on request. |
| Ultrasonic thickness | Wall thickness at the ordered points, logged against the drawing. |
| Spectrometer | Chemical composition, to confirm the heat is the grade ordered. |
